Feline Corona Viral Enteritis

Definition:

It is an infectious disease of cats characterized by enteritis especially in kitten while adults are asymptomatic.

 

Etiology: feline enteric corona virus.

Transmission: the virus is transmitted by fecal oral route.

Clinical signs: the disease is manifested by fever and mild to severe diarrhea lasting for 2-5 days.

Treatment: fluid therapy and antibacterial therapy for secondary infections.
